It’s only been 10 days since I last posted, but so much has happened I need to share. BIG NEWS: you can now see the Objects of Joy, 2021 calendar designs here on my website!! There are two new designs and two from the past two years. But, wait – if you live nearby or want to buy more than one or two, contact me (debie@objects-of-joy.com), as the list price includes shipping. The calendars will be ready for delivery by mid-August (maybe sooner). They will also be available locally at Truth and Table and The Mercantile, both here in Albemarle, NC.
Now – what’s happened ~ what I learned in the past weeks…
1. I can ask for and receive feedback on my work and not become defensive or self-critical (i.e. I should have seen that).
2. I can humbly sort through recommendations and implement them in whole or in part or not at all.
3. I can walk through the tedious process of editing.
There were a lot of emotions to sift through along the way. But it was so worth the process – really! But I didn’t do it on my own. It was Holy Spirit working in and through me each step of the way. And, I must also acknowledge that Cecil, my husband, is always my biggest advocate and encourager and the best listener.
With praise and thanksgiving in my heart, I thank each of you for joining me on my journey.
